To install the Slide Show viewer program

Put the CD into your CD drive and wait a few seconds.

Go into Windows Explorer and navigate to your CD drive.

You should see something like this, although on your computer it may look somewhat different, depending on your version of windows, your folder options, Bill Gates' mood at the time, etc:

You need to double click on 'SHOWPlayerInst.exe' - note that your computer may not display the '.exe' part of the name, depending on your folder options.  This will install the slide show program, and will only need to be done once.  As soon as you have double clicked on  'SHOWPlayerInst.exe', it will lead you through the 4 steps of the installation as shown below.

Note that these screens may look a little different on your computer, but not to worry.

Just click on the 'Next >' button.

Just click on the 'Next >' button.

Just click on the 'Next >' button.

Just click on the 'OK' button.

This should have gotten the slide show viewer installed ok.

Take the CD out of your CD drive and put it in a safe place.  Replacement CD's will be available on a limited basis for a whole lot of money.

To look at Slide Shows

Put the CD into your CD drive and wait a few seconds.

Go into Windows Explorer and navigate to your CD drive.

You should see the 4 folders as shown above.

Double click on one of the '.show' folders, e.g. 'jackruth.show'.  You should see something like this:

Next, double click on 'jackruth.show.sas'  - note that your computer may not display the '.sas' part of the name, depending on your folder options.  The slide show should start automatically.  Left click or hit the right-arrow key to advance to the next image, or hit the left-arrow key to go back to the previous image.  When you have gone through all the images it will stop, and you'll be back in Windows Explorer.  To stop a slide show without going through all the images, just hit the <Esc> key.

To look at those Horrible Videos

The videos (such as they are) are in the 'videos' folder.

Just double click on the 'videos' folder, and you should see something like this:

Now just double click on which ever video you would, for whatever reason, like to watch. Far be it from me to speculate re your motivation.  Note that your computer must have DirectX version 8.x and some other stuff for this to work, so if the video doesn't play, you'll need to get a new computer - I have some good deals available at the moment.  We can talk...
